About this blog
Zephyra.se is an independent blog about Swedish metal music. We write about the bands, the albums and the subgenres that have made Sweden one of the most important countries in metal, and about the festivals where fans meet every summer.
How it started
The blog was started by fans after the Borås band Zephyra announced in December 2019 that it would no longer be active. We took the name as a small tribute, but this is not the band's website and we do not speak for the band or its members. You can read our fan page about Zephyra, and find the band's own music on its official Bandcamp page.
What we write about
- Swedish metal bands, from the pioneers of the 1980s to today
- Subgenres such as death, black, doom and melodic death metal
- Albums and songs worth hearing
- Metal festivals in Sweden and abroad
- Metal culture and style
Who it is for
The blog is for anyone who loves heavy music, from long-time metalheads to newcomers who have just discovered that their favourite band is Swedish. We write in English so that fans everywhere can follow along.
