Must-attend music festivals in Sweden

  1. Lollapalooza Stockholm: this July the Swedish capital hosts a festival of rock, hip-hop, indie and dance music. An ensemble of international acts is scheduled to perform on the open fields of Gärdet, including Imagine Dragons, Post Malone, Pearl Jam, Lorde and Meduza.
  2. Way Out West: lovers of music and film in its many forms will enjoy this three-day festival in Gothenburg every August. Expect top musical performances, film screenings and festivities around the city.
  3. Sweden Rock Festival: metal lovers flock to Norje outside the small town of Sölvesborg in June for the annual Sweden Rock Festival. The four-day event features more than 120 acts, including Guns N' Roses, Volbeat, In Flames, Megadeth and Nightwish. An interesting act to watch out for this year is the Swedish band Bonafide.
